This position is located in the Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Enterprise Solutions (ES) Directorate. The incumbent both independently prepares and provides oversight in the preparation of highly detailed and complex specifications for IT support. This is a Competitive Service position; additional positions may be filled from this announcement within 90 days of certificate issuance.

Duties include but are not limited to the following: Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IT Cloud management. Lead the design of Cloud solutions leveraging best practices and architectural principles. Conduct assessments of existing applications and infrastructure to recommend modernization strategies in the Cloud. Stay up to date with Cloud advancements, emerging technologies, and industry trends to inform architectural decisions. A strong understanding of Agile, Containerization, Microservices and CI/CD (Continuous Intergration /Continuous Deployment) Pipeline.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for the Information Technology Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) position, you must meet the following time in grade requirements and minimum qualifications: TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. If your eligibility for both merit promotion and/or time-in-grade cannot be determined, your application will be rated ineligible. Please see Required Documents for additional information). Time-in-grade requirements also apply to VEOA applicants having held a GS position in the past year. FOR THE GS-14 LEVEL: Experience Requirements: You must have IT-related experience in each of the following four competencies listed below which must be supported by the information contained in your resume and other application materials. AND; Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties: Applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet business requirements of customer organizations. Providing technical expertise to assist in determining compatibility, integration, and requirements for IT systems. Assisting with preparing and planning development, testing, and implementation schedules.
