Duties
Serves as the Retail/Special Commodities Division Chief overseeing the following Branches: Retail (Kitting, ILSS), Specialty Warehouse (Classified, Hazardous and DMAT), Local Transportation (DDOO Fleet, DRT, and Rigging Section) and F-35 Program.
Analyzes workload priorities and determines required resources to support operational requirements.
Plans, directs, and supervises all activities with a focus on receiving, handling, storing, maintaining, and issuing a wide range of materials in a storage and distribution system, and ensuring timely shipment of Depot's local deliveries to the ALC.
Conducts and directs major studies involving current operational problems directly affecting the distribution and storage operations.
Resolves inadequacies of personnel, mechanized and materials handling equipment, physical facilities, work methods and techniques preventing proper handling and physical control of material.
Develops recommendations requiring changes and improvements in the computer interface and/or operating techniques, and the development of new procedures and policies.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Distribution Facilities Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Participates in complex workflows and deliverables.
Conducts and directs major studies involving current operational problems directly affecting the distribution and storage operations.
Performs analysis resolving difficult issues and problems involving the identification of workflow problems.
Develops and/or recommends revisions of local regulations and implementing instructions.
Develops recommendations requiring changes and improvements in the computer interface and/or operating techniques, and the development of new procedures and policies.
