The primary purpose of this position is to serve as logistics expert for the Aircraft Maintenance and Munitions Division, Logistics Readiness Cell, Ninth Air Forces (Air Force Central), Directorate of Logistics. Responsible to the Division Chief to advise and provide expertise in areas of Supply Chain Management; sourcing, MRSP, stock replenishment and trend analysis.
Duties
Provide expertise concerning supply chain management as it pertains to Aircraft Maintenance including aircraft supportability, aircraft systems, aircraft support equipment, transportation, trend analysis and other activities
Represent the Logistics Readiness Cell as required regarding Ninth Air Force (Air Force Central)/A4 matters at meetings and briefings attended by directorate staff, representatives from multiple commands, and other military agencies.
Coordinates with Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Supply Chain Operations Wing (SCOW), Weapon System Team (WST), MAJCOMS and contractor support agencies to enhance supply support to units when and where required.
Maintains accurate and complete documentation of coordination and information relating to supply related coordination and processing

- This is a Mission Essential position. Mission essential personnel report for duty at normal times when the base is closed or delayed reporting, and remain on duty during phased or early release.
Qualifications
This is a Term position NTE 48 months; the individual selected for this position may be extended without further competition. Current Federal civilian employees may apply for this position using "Reinstatement" eligibility and if selected, a break in service of at least 4 calendar days may be required prior to appointment to this position
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes Knowledge of a wide range of pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which impact program and related support resources. Knowledge of Air Logistics Center (ALC) structure and the interface with requirements personnel, engineering, item management, budget, data automation and contracting personnel.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of pertinent laws, statutes, regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods applicable to
supply, acquisition, and contract support operations and programs.
2. Knowledge of SCM and procurement regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods applicable to
assigned MIPR, data system, and inventory control responsibilities.
3. Knowledge of requirements and procedures for maintaining files of MIPR documents for spares procurement.
4. Knowledge of procurement functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods.
5. Ability to analyze data, determine the root cause of problems, develop alternatives, and make recommendations
to resolve a wide variety of complex supply and acquisition related problems and issues.
6. Ability to access and utilize supply and acquisition information and develop metrics.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
