Serves as Chief, Strategic Integration Office, reporting directly to the Chief of the Programs and Project Management Branch. Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and performing management services essential to the direction and operation of an organization. Functions include program analysis, management analysis, resource management, formulation, and execution of budgets, personnel management, coordination of Division training and awards programs, and information management.

Duties

Coordinates, integrates, leads and directly controls the efforts associated with assigned programs. Analyze situations, identify problems, probe causes, and select courses of action for technical and functional specialists to pursue. Communicates in writing and in person in order to communicate with various levels of technical, professional, management and administrative personnel. Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and performing a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of an organization. Supervises a group of employees engaged in management analysis, program support, and strategic planning functions. Develops, initiates, and implements administrative policies and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility. Analyzes current and proposed operating programs to evaluate actual and potential effectiveness in achieving organizational objectives. Provide recommendations and improve performance of budget execution based on a sound understanding of the Division programs

To qualify as a Supervisory Business Management Specialist, GS-0301-13: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS 12 level: assigning work to subordinates based on priorities; assuring that production and accuracy requirements are met; develops performance standards; evaluates work performance of subordinates; advise on both work and administrative matters; interviews candidates for positions under incumbent's supervisory controls; recommends appointment, promotion or reassignment to positions; hears and resolves complaints from employees, referring grievances to a higher level supervisor or manager; advise on minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands, recommending other action in more serious cases; identifies developmental and training needs of subordinates; arranging development and training needs of subordinates; approves leave. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationPersonnel and Human ResourcesStrategic ThinkingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
