This position is located in the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO), Division of Information Technology, Deputy Chief Information Officer, Management Services Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas pertaining to FDIC IT communications and marketing, brand and content management online and in other media, and managing and coordinating CIOO activities with its customers and stakeholders to drive organizational change.

Duties

- Develops and manages a comprehensive communications program which includes: analyzing and evaluating program needs, developing outreach strategies, designing, developing, and measuring the effectiveness of communications products, materials and campaigns, including events and meetings to foster two-way communications, leading to strategic partnerships between the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO), its customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience developing and managing a communications program that includes creating and publishing communications strategies, plans, materials, and measuring the effectiveness of communications.  Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
