Permanent full-time position as a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor within the National Park Service. Facility Management Division of Richmond National Battlefield Park and Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site. The Facility Management Division is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the parks' facilities and provides services to the other park divisions. The combined park features over 80 items of classified structures including earthen fortifications and historic structures.
Duties
Maintenance Supervisor responsible for daily workflow for Buildings and Utilities branch park units as well as the maintenance of Shop activities.
Assists the Chief of Maintenance with developing annual work plans and budgets. Conduct annual condition assessments and tracks and reports all labor, material and equipment orders utilizing Facility Management Software System.
Provide experienced and professional services and administrative supervision over subordinates performing various trades and labor occupations.
Provide professional and technical support and knowledge on utilities, trades and crafts such as electrical, HVAC, potable water system operation, drainage, storm and sanitary sewer systems, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, trails, grounds keeping, and janitorial services.
