Duties
Plans, monitors, prioritizes, and schedules security engineering activities within the confines of a project schedule and available resources.
Provide security guidance and articulate recommendations, as a technical subject matter expert, around a variety of technologies both in the cloud and on-premise environment.
Reviews and analyzes existing processes; recommends improvements, new workflows, and revised business models.
Participates in OIS and IT wide security working groups, and assists with the development of security architectures, procedures, and policies.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: serving as a Cybersecurity Engineer and subject matter expert in Cloud Security, Development Security and Operations (Dev Sec Ops), Zero trust, Network Security and Containerization; providing guidance and making recommendations on new technologies; developing technical white papers for new cybersecurity trends and developments.
In addition to the above specialized experience, your resume must demonstrate one year of Information Technology (IT) related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
