You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/INFOSEC) atCNATT UNIT JACKSONVILLE.
Duties
You will develop justifications for resource requirements to support information security program development, testing, and evaluation.
You will configure firewalls in conjunction with other security devices (e.g., intrusion detection systems, cryptographic equipment, or similar devices) to establish a secure network system.
You will administer an organizations information technology (IT) life cycle management program to ensure organization's mission, goals, and objectives are met.
You will interpret cybersecurity policies, guidelines, standards, and regulations to determine their impact on program policies and procedures.
You will evaluate information technology (IT) configurations to determine necessary enhancements, upgrades, or modifications.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Monitoring and evaluating information systems compliance with IT security requirements, policies, and procedures. 2. Managing IT systems users training and adherence to security policies/procedures. 3. Providing advice and guidance in implementing IT security policies and procedures in the development and operation of network systems. and 5. Applying acquisition management policies and procedures sufficient to evaluate contractor's products/services. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

This position has been designated as a Cyberspace Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) primary work role of IT Project Manager (802) and secondary work role of Information Systems Security Manager (722) - both with proficiency levels as Intermediate and, as a condition of employment, the incumbent of the position is required to obtain and maintain qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, February 15, 2023 and supporting Department of Navy policies.
This designation requires the incumbent to:
1. Obtain the foundational qualification within nine months and the residential qualification within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF role of 802 PROJMGR and 722 INFOSEC proficiency levels Intermediate. For more information, please review DoDM 8140.03 and supporting DON policies.
2. Participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03. An annual 20-hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. Continuous professional development begins in the fiscal year after the employee has obtained both foundational and residential qualification requirements.
3. Acknowledge responsibilities in writing via command designation letter. Failure to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service.
