About the Position: Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced Leave Accrual may be authorized. This position is being filled on a Permanent basis.

Duties

Supervise and participate fully in day today management discussions assisting in the formulation, development, and execution of all administrative and operational aspects of the branch. Track the progress of assignments to ascertain status, intervenes with any problems being encountered, ensures quality of results, and accountable for timely delivery and staffing of products. Establish and/or lead multi-disciplinary or cross functional teams as a major strategy to accomplish DHA objectives. Supervises the chiefs of the subordinate sections (Managed Care Support Program, TRICARE Overseas Program, TRICARE Dental Program, and Program Management Office). Determines goals, guidelines, objectives, plans, and directs implementation of plans and strategies. Generates and evaluates proposed legislative and program initiatives and other proposed changes to the law, policies, directives, contract requirements or regulations for their impact.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
