About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Advanced Leave Accrual may be authorized.

Duties

Serve as the Contingency Operations and TRICARE Select Subject Matter Expert (SME), interface with other federal, state, Managed Care Support Contractor (MCSC), and DoD directorates and offices. Monitor and report on real world contingencies impacting access to care in CONUS. Provide oversight and performance assessment of MCSCs? Contingency Plans and regional tabletop exercises. Provide oversight, facilitation, and collaboration on MCSCs? plans and programs to ensure support of TRICARE Select throughout the CONUS. Analyze TRICARE Select survey data, report on findings, and provide recommendations for improvements. Use his/her ability to interpret laws, regulations, policies, and procedures from Congressional legislation, DoD, Agency, and other applicable guidance, analytical models, applications and databases (including M2 data).

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the development of processes for monitoring program performance of contractors (ie. Managed Care Support Contractors); providing recommendations to correct issues; and advising on Military Health System/TRICARE operations for program improvement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
