Serve as Nuclear Integration and Analysis Program Manager reporting to the Principal Director, Office of Nuclear Matters for day to day operational matters associated with nuclear integration, analysis and enterprise risk management.

Duties

Positions in the acquisition workforce that are responsible for managing any services contracts necessary to the operation and maintenance of programs in the DoD and Positions in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, including technician positions, within the defense acquisition workforce, or any category of acquisition positions within the DoD designated by the Secretary as a shortage or critical need category Please read this Public Notice in its entirety prior to submitting your application for consideration. Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Provides leadership and management support to programmatic initiatives and the daily operations of the organization. Collaborates with office leadership to ensure strategic alignment with the mission, goals, and objectives of the DASD and PD Nuclear Matters and ensures the proper planning, direction and timely execution of high visibility projects. Oversees nuclear enterprise analysis and integration efforts including enterprise risk management, enterprise modeling, contingency planning, and cross-cutting analysis of nuclear deterrent programs. Prepares, coordinates and leads technical, programmatic and operational analysis of nuclear deterrent programs in support of the semi-annual Nuclear Deputy's Management Action Group (DMAG) meetings. Leads the Nuclear DMAG Working Group, which is comprised of representatives from stakeholder organizations, to support semi-annual meetings that provide senior leaders with a comprehensive view of nuclear enterprise risks and recommended actions. Liaises and maintains effective working relationships with other components in the Nuclear Enterprise and within the organization to address issues that span multiple mission or program areas. This is a supervisory position and the incumbent is expected to assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Provide technical oversight. Develop contribution / performance plans and rate employees accordingly. Interview candidates for subordinate positions and recommends hiring, promotion, or reassignments. Fairly administer contribution / performance Management program responsibilities, ensuring that required communication and activities are accomplished in compliance with guidance and timeframes, and that employees' achievements are appropriately recognized. Support the Whistleblower Protection Program by responding constructively to employees who make protected disclosures; taking responsible and appropriate actions to resolve any such disclosures; and creating an environment in which employees feel comfortable making such disclosures.   • This is a Critical Acquisition Position: Incumbent will be required to sign a written tenure agreement to remain, for a minimum of three years, in the Federal Service in the Critical Acquisition Position.

Develop plans, tasks, milestones, and schedules to ensure sequencing of events and track processes of costs throughout the lifecycle of a Nuclear program. 2. Apply Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution process to ensure contract regulations and resource allocation policies and procedures. 3. Oversee U.S. nuclear weapons, strategic deterrence policies, relevant statues, and interagency relationships to execute the modernization and sustainment of the nuclear deterrent. 4. Coordinate with a wide variety of DoD Components, Federal agencies, private sector partners, and foreign government partners within the Nuclear Enterprise. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualifications and education requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.
