Duties
In this position you serve as an USCG Intelligence Research Specialist and provides Open-Source research in support of USCG’s statutory missions with responsibility for the most complex assignments which includes researching, developing, and sustaining requirements in according with policies governing USCG’s support to Open-Source collection requirements management, and answering Requests for Information (RFIs); interprets policies, regulations and conducts long range planning.

- This position requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- This position may require a one year probationary period.
Qualifications
Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of Specialized experience include: preparing analyses to explain the implications of intelligence developments; conducting law enforcement interviews to collect intelligence information; preparing threat assessments, reports, and presentations detailing threat information, findings and recommendations; interpreting regulations and policies to implement intelligence programs.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
