The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD), Maintenance Branch, Maintenance Support Section.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Maintenance Branch Support Section, ensuring that the maintenance support function complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
Represents the Maintenance Support Section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with HNCM leadership, HNC-PS offices and external Product Branches.
Directs Production Management and Quality Management Activities.

Qualifications
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Supervision/Managment" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. Work Statement and Performance Level

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of electronic theory and equipment characteristics in order to perform Depot-Level Electronic Maintenance support functions; use of data base and management information systems; working knowledge of cryptographic equipment maintenance, digital computer maintenance, system maintenance practices and techniques, software sustainment process and electronic system fabrication; knowledge and familiarity with various types of test equipment including Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used for electronic equipment maintenance, software sustainment tools, and the automated systems used in support of prototype systems design, fabrication, and testing; and knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of electronic theory and equipment characteristics in order to perform Depot-Level Electronic Maintenance Support functions; use of data base and management information systems; working knowledge of cryptographic equipment maintenance, digital computer maintenance, system maintenance practices and techniques, software sustainment processes and electronic system fabrication.
Knowledge and familiarity with various types of test equipment including Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used for electronic equipment maintenance, software sustainment tools, and the automated systems used in support of prototype systems design, fabrication, and testing.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Skill in technical data use pertaining to understanding of different generations of highly complex communication equipment to properly apply production control methods and procedures in order to perform depot level maintenance.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
