You will serve as a GG-0132-15 Supervisory Intelligence Specialist within the Research and Development Support Activity (RDSA) at NAVAL INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY. This position is located in Springfield, VA.
Duties
You will supervise intelligence specialists providing intelligence analysis and support to Research and Development Support Activity (RDSA).
You will prepare unique and original analysis assessments or other products by applying expert judgment and specialized experience in interpreting information and making decisions which impact RDSA activities and equities.
You will prepare and present briefings on projects, studies, and analysis to high level government officials or support the development of such briefings for RDSA senior level leadership engagement opportunities.
You will participate as an RDSA representative at meetings with the Department of Defense (DoD), various Intelligence Community (IC) agencies, the Department of the Navy, and other Fleet and Military entities.
You will facilitate, establish, and maintain collaborative relationships with various Navy and Intelligence Community counterparts in order to facilitate effective and successful collection opportunities over one and two year planning cycles.
You will implement extensive engagement with DoD and IC groups both virtually and in person necessitating travel throughout CONUS and overseas to support future joint projects while protecting RDSA equities.
You will plan work for subordinates; provide advice, counsel, or instruction; hear/resolve complaints; identify developmental needs and arrange for training; initiate ways to improve production/quality, and develop/evaluate performance standards.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as:
1. Apply broad knowledge of intelligence research and data collection to collect, interpret, and evaluate intelligence requirements.
2. Manage the planning and requirements process for research and development projects by performing expert analysis and production tasks relative to operations.
3. Analyze, evaluate, and integrate data from multiple sources to produce non-standard and innovative assessments.
4. Perform the full breadth of first level supervisory duties such as planning, directing, assigning, and monitoring work; appraising employee performance; and supporting employee development.
