Duties
Analyze, manage, and perform work necessary to accomplish work processes by using numerous automation systems. manual processes, and software programs as necessary for third party.
Use of automated systems to include Automated Claims Processing and Reconciliation Systems. Various Electronic and Manual Records Systems.
Perform all aspects of medical billing and claim management.
Accurate billing and collection of other health insurance revenue.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly and quarterly reports.
Research patient records.
Reconstructs incorrect or missing medical information required to prepare a valid insurance billing.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Tier 1 security Investigation.
- Financial Management Level 1 certification is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes medical insurance payment posting; medical claim system reporting; funds accountability; and insurance payment reconciliation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
