This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is with the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC), Field Support Operations Material MGT & FLDG located in Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Duties
Serves as a senior journeyman supply specialist for Total Package Fielding (TPF) Programs for Materiel Fielding and Training.
Operates in Army Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS), Logistics Management Program (LMP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to perform and manage supply and fielding transactions.
Operates as a mission or site lead when identified as the senior or lead fielder/supply specialist for a given mission.
Advises junior fielders/supply specialists on coordination and communication matters with oversight from team lead and supervisor.
Executes de-processing IAW specific Program Manager or manufacturer's instructions, performs inventory and transfers property in accordance with established regulations to the Gaining Command/Soldier.
Provides mission and fielder feedback to team lead and supervisor on all mission elements, develops or provides input to After Action Reviews as needed.
Performs broad range of supply transactions related to stock movement, requisitioning, status, and availability.
Performs maintenance tasks to repair equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment and annual physical examination.
- This position requires you to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Travel Card.
- When required participate in hazardous material training.
- May be required to handle Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants (POL).
- Position requires the wear and use of prescribed personnel protective equipment.
- Position requires working in adverse conditions or outdoors in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and in-climate weather.
- Position requires working in loud environments to include but not limited to the motor pool, weapons live fire range, and explosive ordnance.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- Position requires working on, in and around, climbing up on, entering vehicles and operating in confined spaces.
- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 50-75% of the time.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as: demonstrating experience in the utilization or training of property management systems, such as working with supply programs such as Total Package Fielding (TPF) process for major item delivery and fielding of new or displaced equipment; providing fielding supplies and logistics support planning that provides gaining units with new and modernized vehicles and support equipment; drafting, reviewing, or disseminating documentation in order to support equipment fielding process to completion; applying laws, regulations, and policies in accordance with Army regulations in order to sufficiently perform and manage supply and fielding transactions, Perform all required preventative maintenance checks and services which includes, but not limited to, performing maintenance, performing equipment modifications, installation and assembly needed to prepare equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
