Duties

Provide expertise in complex/ technical situations on commissions/ appointment criteria for ROTC officers to include reporting and analysis of actions that may require HQDA waivers and/or approvals for Regular Army and Reserve Component officers. Perform a variety of technical and analytical work in direct support of the organization. Monitor the successful completion of administrative actions generated by Cadet Command Accessions Branch employees. Conduct analysis and develops input for associated reports and briefings to provide status of mission performance, effectiveness, known shortfalls and resulting implications. Provide accurate and timely responses to requests information and answering questions, responding to correspondence, or preparing reports or briefings by retrieving data from various databases and other information sources.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 10% of the time.
  • May be required to complete a one year probationary period.
  • Position is subject to regular unscheduled/unplanned overtime.
  • Required duty schedule is 0800-1700.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-9). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
