Duties
In this position you will serve as a Supervisory Curriculum Developer. Typical duties include:
Providing direct advisory services to senior level management officials and other bureau personnel in the areas of organizational management and for enhancing employee potential and development of leadership and management through training.
Communicating and working with training coordinators or others from within or outside the organization on training programs and curriculum management.
Developing, modifying, conducting and/or overseeing the presentation of training in the areas of employee development and leadership/management development programs.
Advising on curriculum development strategies and knowledge management principles, training program policies, regulatory requirements and procedures.
Analyzing training needs by coordinating with senior level management officials throughout the Bureau. Plans studies to identify immediate and long-range training needs.
Requirements

- Supervisory Probationary Period: If you are selected for this position, you will be required to serve a one year supervisory/managerial probationary period if one has not previously been completed.
- This position requires regular and recurring overtime and shift work.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-13 if you possess at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
Developing training concepts, policies, and/or practices to meet industry standards;
Working with organizational personnel to provide administrative or resource management guidance; and
Leading a team or work unit in daily activities to support training or curriculum development.

Physical Demands: The work in this position is primarily sedentary. There is some walking, standing, hiking when making remote site visits.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical office and classroom setting. Some work may be performed onsite in certain field locations.
