You will serve as a LEAD/INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Transformation Program Office (Code G0200) of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
Salary Range:
GS-11: $76,860 - $99,914 PA
GS-12: $92,123 - $119,760 PA
Duties
You will develop metrics systems that integrate organizational goals to measures.
You will provide input to develop strategic and tactical planning for Lean methodology.
You will stay abreast of new developments and changing process improvement knowledge and advise management on techniques and approaches.
You will design Visual Display Systems for work areas.
You will provide leadership and coaching in the individual development of process improvement skills and techniques for junior personnel in the core Lean Office as the Lead Industrial Engineering Technician.
You will assess strengths and weaknesses of team member knowledge, skills, ability to run Lean Workshops, work on a variety of improvement projects, and effectively lead future improvement teams as a Lead Industrial Engineering Technician.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-11 Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying industrial engineering techniques to provide technical direction in the analysis and evaluation of process improvement initiatives (e.g. use of Lean Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints) to develop recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Shipyard operations.
Selective Placement Factor: Current NAVSEA Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified or equivalent certification such as American Society for Quality (ASQ) certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and knowledge of Nuclear Triad Strategic Deterrence Mission stakeholders and functions.
GS-12 Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing process and performance improvement services for administrative and production work practices and procedures by analyzing and evaluating processes, identifying problems, root causes, and developing recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Shipyard operations.
Selective Placement Factor: Current NAVSEA Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified and knowledge of Strategic Deterrence Mission stakeholders and functions.
