This position is located at US Mint,Headquarters - Office of the Director. As a Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, planning and directing comprehensive and effective external and internal public information programs; establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with the general public, media, special interest groups and stakeholders; and maintaining effective relationships with the Department of the Treasury Office of Public Affairs.

Duties

As a Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist, you will: Develop, implement and execute world class public affairs plans, policies, strategies, and processes. Develop and execute Public Affairs Office annual work plans and three-year business plan. Direct and propel progress on executing assigned United States Mint annual action items (critical objectives), work plans, and ensures on-time execution of same.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: - Planning, designing, developing, and disseminating public affairs information and materials to inform and educate the public about Agency/Organization programs in a variety a media such as: feature articles, newsletters, web sites, brochures, pamphlets, speeches, briefings, social media posts; AND - Provides public affairs guidance and support to subordinate offices and/staff about community involvement processes and responding to the media, public and other stakeholders; AND -Leading and/or managing teams in an agency's communications office on a variety of public affairs matters.
