This position is at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, Division of Quality Management, Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation in Phoenix, AZ. This position serves as the Nurse Policy & Procedures Officer for hospital wide policies covering inpatient, ambulatory care, emergency and specialty areas. Serves as the analyst and advisor in the development of clinical protocols and clinical practice guidelines. This position will report to the Director of Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation onsite.
Duties
Analyze organizational policies to assure that the content is valid, consistent and assuring procedures are practiced.
Develop new policies or revise current policies to ensure Organization compliance.
Advise department managers and executive staff on current regulations and processes.
Initiate, coordinate and facilitate clinical and administrative multidisciplinary teams for the development and implementation of policies, procedures, clinical protocols and clinical practice guidelines.
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Program, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained
OR
Degree from Foreign Nursing School: Official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required for individuals who graduated from foreign nursing schools.
Licensure: Applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination. In addition, they must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below:
Basic Requirements for the GS-03610-12 Grade Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include: Initiates, coordinates and facilitates clinical and administrative multidisciplinary teams that analyzes, develops and implement organization policies and procedures, clinical protocols and clinical practice guidelines. Knowledge and skill in a wide range of healthcare regulations such as The Joint Commission (TJC), centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other applicable standards and guidelines.
