About the Position: Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.
Duties
Manage the full spectrum of the depot’s Installation Processing Node, Classified and Sensitive but Unclassified networks, Information Assurance and database operations for providing C4ISR and C4IM services to the user community.
Plan work to be accomplished, set priorities, develop plans, and schedule and integrate to ensure optimum utilization of resources; Monitor workload through the consolidated services desk; develop reports on workload.
Represent the branch at Configuration Control Board or mission support meetings, technical workshops and seminars; Disseminate pertinent information.
Provide technical leadership, development and support of capabilities for the data center operations and local area network, telecommunications, infrastructure design, engineering, maintenance, information assurance, and operation requirements.
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver's License.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Planning, initiating, forecasting, and managing information technology (IT) workload; 2) Leading and guiding the work of an IT technical staff to ensure work is carried out; AND 3) Training or arranging for the training of team members in methods and techniques to successfully accomplish tasks or projects

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
