This position will operate within the Veteran Transportation Service within Health Administration Service at the Greater Los Angeles VA Health Care System . The incumbent is directly supervised by and collaborates with the Mobility Manager for transportation workload forecasting, scheduling design, procedure development, quality improvement implementation, modification of processes, evaluation and ongoing operations. The coordination of transportation function is multi-faceted and diverse.
Duties
Daily responsibilities include Veteran Transportation Service (VTS) appointment scheduling; collecting, compiling, and tracking data and statistical information in support of VTS.
Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports. Evaluates documents, e.g., sampling plans, permit applications, and other data collection forms. Aggregates incoming data from a variety of sources. Reviews documents, reports, and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate.
Plans for, organizes, administers, and directs how the program work will be accomplished for the VTS.
Planning responsibilities pertain to total functions and require consideration of complete support services
Work Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 06:00AM to 2:30PM

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/29/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-05 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-04. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: schedule routes for assigned drivers, managing the Route Match program management software, coordinating vehicle maintenance. OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have 4-year course of study post high school. OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond high school.

Physical Requirements: The work requires above average physical agility, such as regular and recurring periods of prolonged standing, bending, stretching, and lifting (e.g., work at passenger check-in centers or shipment document pickup centers).
