About the Position: Exercise of independent judgment and initiative in technical matters concerning the execution of the Military, Civil Works, Host Nation, and Support for Others (SFO) construction programs of the Pacific Ocean Division (POD).

Duties
Serve as Pacific Ocean Division (POD) Senior Construction Engineer for Civil Works, subject matter expert for all construction aspects of the Civil Works program throughout the Division.
Provide programmatic, policy, and oversight of Districts' QA/QC Programs through development and implementation of the Division’s construction quality management program and assisting with on-site design and construction evaluations.
Lead assigned Regional Community of Practice (CoP) and serve as the POD representative on national level CoPs to ensure integration of policies and plans within the Region.

- Temporary duty (TDY) travel is approximately 30%.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: responsibility for the accomplishment of engineering functions required for an Agency's construction program which consists of design, procurement, and construction of large-scale projects over a wide spread geographical area; coordinating and conducting quality assurance for engineering design and construction projects; and serve as an authoritative expert/technical advisor developing, executing and implementing professional policies, procedures, and criteria of design and construction for major civil and military facility programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-13.
Selective Placement Factor: Professional registration as a licensed Professional Architect or Professional Engineer is required for this position. A current registration MUST be uploaded with your application package.
