THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0891P01 and is part of the IL USPFO, National Guard.
Duties
As a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (TITLE 32), GS-2003-9 you will plan, organize, review, evaluate and supervise the work of the branch office and to perform analysis of supply procedures, services, directives and management functions of the branch.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
Implement accepted provisions of personnel management such as equal employment, merit promotion, career development, performance appraisals, employee counseling, incentive awards and position management.
Select or contribute to the selection of subordinates.
Establish performance standards, authorize leave and is responsible for time and attendance.
Ensure adequate training is available for employees within the branch.
Responsible for branch office logistical support program to ensure units/activities receive guidance and assistance required to correct problems and deficiencies.
Analyze recommendations and issue written or verbal instructions to ensure units achieve maximum readiness posture.
Direct and publish procedures to unit/activity representatives for implementation/update of property management Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS).
Analyze results of property book reconciliations to determine if systemic problems exist.
Review, analyze, and interpret supply directives and procedures.
Formulate and recommend operating procedures to achieve optimum support to the logistics program on matters pertaining to property accountability.
Develop and provide data for property accountability of supported units/activities to the Supply Management Officer (SMO), Director of Logistics (DOL), United States Property and Fiscal Officer (USP&FO) and the Readiness Committee.
Serve as State Serialization Coordinator.
Requirements

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence,
The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
The SECOND area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees.
The THIRD area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible.
The FOURTH area of consideration will be applicants willing to become T32 Dual Status Technicians and gain ILNG membership.
The FIFTH area of consideration will U.S. Citizens.
Military Grades: Enlisted - Not to exceed Rank of SSG
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience, education, or training which has provided a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-9 LEVEL MUST possess at least 24 months experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position.
SPECIALIZED SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: MUST possess specialized supervisory experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
