About the Position: This position is located at Army Medical Center William Beaumont in El Paso, TX.

Duties

Review trends in common problems and challenges with hospital wide property accountability and management processes, recommends and implements solutions to internal SOP, and training classes. Use personal computer equipment to access the appropriate regulations, to provide guidance to all Property Managers as well as all Property Custodians within the hospital. Have knowledge using Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) to pull Property Custodians hand receipt reports. Manage the reconciliation of vendor invoices for equipment processed within the DMLSS system, verify equipment is gained correctly to the proper Customer ID. Plan, organize, coordinate and advise on non-medical and medical equipment accountability, establish Chief Financial Officer Files for Capital Expense Equipment, review DMLSS advisories weekly and implement corrections with Property Managers.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

  • A pre-placement medical examination is required.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Immunization screening may be required. Hepatitis B immunization may be required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityComputer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Program Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
