THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD2382000 and is part of the WY 153rd Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard.
Qualifications
AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:
Primary consideration will be made from Areas 1, 2 and 4. If referrals are not made from the target category, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible).
Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 AW Staff.
Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 6: Current and prior service military members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of writing and communication principles, methods and techniques that relate to public affairs of the military; experience developing new information materials including news releases, fact sheets, brochures, booklets, broadcast spots, etc., that increase communication with the agency's audiences; experience making on-the-spot presentations to audiences with opposing points of view or erroneous understanding of agency positions; and experience responding timely and appropriately to requests for information concerning agency programs and services.
NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS:
Must possess AFSC 3N056, Public Affairs.
DRIVER'S LICENSE:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
