Duties
The purpose of this position is to function as the leader over all Marine & Family Programs across multiple Installations. The incumbent is a direct report to the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff, MCCS. Resolves internal and external operational problems not covered by established policies including the coordination and collaboration with other staff agencies. Exercises technical and administrative supervision over subordinate deputy division director to include setting annual performance plan goals and evaluating their attainment of such goals. Resolves financial, personnel and operational problems that impact on the effectiveness of MCCS. Will represent MCCS and M&FP to other organizations and commands. Maintains liaison with advisory boards, councils and unions. Sets priorities and establishes methods and time frames for accomplishments of MCCS projects. The incumbent exercises staff cognizance and oversight on technical aspects of the program over the major program areas of MCCS: Family Readiness, Family Care, Personal & Professional Development, and Behavioral Health.

Qualifications
A minimum of five years experience that demonstrates knowledge of management principles in planning, coordinating, and attaining the goals and financial objectives of a large customer-focused organization; a thorough knowledge of business practices, economic principles and ability to analyze trends/developments and make improvements in support functions and operating programs through innovative business techniques and personnel management. Must possess above average oral and written communication skills and have ability to deal with individuals on different levels such as Congressional staff, high-ranking military officers, etc. Knowledge of budgetary principles to include preparation, execution and the ability to analyze trends and initiate appropriate actions. Knowledge of military life and the resulting issues affecting military families and their lifestyles. A four year degree from an accredited college/university is required with a major in business desired. Knowledge of Marine Corps staff procedures and organization is highly desirable. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance may be required.
