You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT in the FLEET & FAMILY READINESS (FFR) PROGRAM, HOUSING PROGRAM, UNACCOMPANIED HOUSING PROGRAM ofNAVAL STA NT RI.

Duties

You will perform room inspections to identify material discrepancies, evaluate cleanliness, habitability, condition of equipment, and facilities. You will provide information via telephone, email, and in-person to assist with check-ins, explain specific rules/regulations, and answer questions based on policies and procedures. You will assist the Building Manger with responding to and resolving resident complaints or issued related to maintenance and upkeep of the rooms and facilities. You will assist the Building Manager with facility inventory control of all furnishings and equipment assigned to the rooms.

Requirements

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing information via telephone, email and in person on a variety of subjects relating to unaccompanied housing for military personnel; 2) Ensuring proper record keeping in the Unaccompanied Housing Module (UHM) of enterprise Military Housing (eMH); 3) Coordinating with Facilities Management Specialist (FMS) to ensure timely completion of berthing maintenance projects; 4) Inspecting rooms for cleanliness, appearance and maintenance discrepancies routinely to determine if procedures are being followed. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of at least four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to three years of experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4
