Serves as a Facilities Operations Specialist and as a key subject-matter expert and resource for the region for Operational Excellence, Facilities Management Division, while driving a focus and outcomes for excellence in building systems and operations support.
This position is located in General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service of the National Capital Region, Washington D.C.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Serves as a Regional advocate of OE programs. Ensures leadership and collaborators are aware of the program and how to effectively use its tools. Provides assistance and establishes consistency, propagates best practices mitigating major problems before they occur. Ensures that facility management methods are current, or otherwise developed and disseminated throughout the region via training. Serves as an advocate and performs technical work for the OE program and provides input through a consultative role to the service center with regional operations personnel in ensuring methods and procedures required for efficient building management operations/procedures are met.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $94,199 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience: Serving as a technical expert for the Facilities Management and Services Programs Division, such experience includes:• Providing advice, guidance and recommendations on policy development and program performance;• Recommending and developing implementation strategies;• Providing mechanical expertise;• Performing special troubleshooting analysis of assigned programs; and• Resolving specific concerns and/or specific problems with programs.
