THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a MILITARY & FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST TITLE 5 PERMANENT, Position Description Number T5701400 and is part of the NH ARNG Command Section, National Guard.
This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection.

Duties
The purpose of the position is to provide support in the administration of Military & Family Readiness Program services for the Army National Guard within the State Family Program. This is achieved by performing assignments designed to provide familiarity with the Family Program, community services, effective relations with supporting social service and emergency organizations, recruit and train volunteers, promote resilience and financial literacy through targeted life skills training, and the development of human resources program referral networks.
Requirements
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends to support Unit Drills and program needs.
- Must be availble to operate 24/7 Emergency Family Assistance Center in the event of disater, emergencies or crisis.
- At a minimum, must have a National Agency Check prior to appointment into the position.
- This offer is contingent upon your ability to successfully meet all conditions of employment.
- Potential Drill Weekend and after-hours response may be required. Occasional travel may be required.
- Title 32 Technicians Only: By accepting this Title 5 appointment you will convert to Title 5 excepted service. You will not have rehire rights back to Title 32 unless you compete and are selected for a Title 32 position.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 - Must have 1-year specialized experience, education or training to at least the next lower grade level (GS-07) or equivalent? Must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.
A well-qualified applicant will have an in-depth knowledge of Military & Family Readiness programs and Military structure. Applicant will also possess strong Case Management, Project Management and Public Speaking abilities.
