Duties
Maintains, adjusts, and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies.
Typical equipment services include automatic pin placing machines, automatic scorers, ball returns, telescope and telefoul units, ball drilling machines, pin finders, lane maintenance machines, supervisor for timeliness.
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, but referring to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams using test equipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages.
Makes such repairs and adjustments as re-timing cams and gears; measuring and regulating the sweep of rakes; replacing broken or worn pins, rods, brushes, bolts, belts, tension springs; filing contact points; and cleaning and lubricating parts.
Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters in bowling pins and lanes, using wood plastic and lane stock, sands surfaces, and recoat them with appropriate finishes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Frequent lifting, carrying parts, assemblies weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally may push or pull larger assemblies weighing up
to 100 pounds. Work requires frequent bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, standing and working in awkward positions.
Requirements
