This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Director of Operational Logistics, Base San Juan Procurement & Contracting Department located in San Juan, PR.
Duties
This role of this position is to prepare and issue MIPRs and Interagency Agreements, execute purchases through the Federal Supply Schedules contracts and Coast Guard contracts, in support at Base San Juan.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-07 Grade Level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience includes: Procuring materials, supplies, equipment, and services within the small purchase limitations; soliciting quotes from suppliers and negotiating with them by phone; adapting special clauses and regulatory requirements to purchases based on the size and type of procurement; evaluating responses to quotes/bid solicitations; ensuring that requests for procurements are clear and precise; compiling bidder's lists; performing procurement research for requisitioners locating technical or hard-to-find items; initiating follow-up actions; and issuing orders against Federal Supply Schedules and term contracts.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
