About the Position: Serve as an Interdisciplinary (Data Analytics) position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers great Lakes and Ohio Rivers Division, Program Support Division.
This is a competitive upgrade to an encumbered position in the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, Program Support Division, no vacancy exists.
Duties
Serve as a technical expert and advisor on data visualization, analysis, tracking and reporting for project and program delivery across the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Major Subordinate Command (MSC) area of responsibility (AOR).
Serve as a regional subject matter expert in data analytics and visualization tools and methodologies in support of regional program management and business operations.
Responsible for automated data visualization reports and interactive dashboards used to track and measure a wide range of data quality and project performance metrics in support of multibillion-dollar regional programs.
Provide managers and leadership with critical information for making risk-informed decisions based on data analysis. The results of the work support accomplishment of the overall program and mission of the agency.
Perform critical analysis of data from agency enterprise program/project management and financial management automated information systems (AIS) to effectively evaluate data quality and report compliance in accordance with regional standards.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes advising on data visualization, analysis, tracking and reporting for project and program delivery across the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE); developing automated data visualization reports and interactive dashboards used to track and measure a wide range of data quality and project performance metrics; and providing leadership with critical information for making risk-informed decisions based on data analysis.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
