Duties
This position is located in the Division of DLNG - Facility Review & Inspections, Washington, DC or Houston Regional Office, in the Office of Energy Projects.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.

- This is a bargaining unit position.

GS-11
You can qualify based on your education, OR one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 level, OR have a combination of education and experience. Specialized experience is defined as: experience analyzing engineering designs for foundations and structures (e.g., large storage tanks and piperacks with hazardous fluids) for petrochemical, nuclear, or industrial facilities.
GS-12
In addition to the education required for this position, you must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience analyzing engineering designs for foundations and structures (e.g., large storage tanks and pipe racks with hazardous fluids) for petrochemical, nuclear, or industrial facilities, and 2. experience performing safety, reliability, and engineering analyses for petrochemical, nuclear, or industrial facilities. GS-13
In addition to the education required for this position, you must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is defined as: experience independently developing and analyzing engineering designs for foundations and structures (e.g., large storage tanks and pipe racks with hazardous fluids) for petrochemical, nuclear, or industrial facilities, and 2. experience independently performing complex safety, reliability, and engineering analyses for petrochemical, nuclear, or industrial facilities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
