This Operations and Acquisition Specialist, NH-0301-03 position is located in the PEO EIS HRS- FORT KNOX, KY FIELD OFFICE.
Programs Mission Statement: HR Solutions: Provides Centralized Acquisition Management Services delivering efficient and innovative enterprise level service support contracts providing Human Resource Services and Training to Department to Defense Requiring Activities
Duties
Plans, organizes, and/or directs the contractual aspects of assigned programs.
Coordinates and reviews matters involving operational policies and procedures as they related to the management of the directorate.
Develops contractual strategy for the overall acquisition program within the organization.
Prepares and maintains current acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts or related schedules.
Evaluates the effectiveness of administrative operations and management programs within the directorate.
Develops methods to solve problems involving major administrative functional programs within the organization.
Participates in required acquisition planning and management functions in support of various organization programs.
Assists with a variety of staff management functions in relation to planning, directing, managing, and advising on functions involving multiple acquisitions, ordering and mission tracking.
Requirements
- Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
- Appointment to this position may be subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is required on pre-employment and annually thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes:
1) Planning, organizing, and/or directing contractual aspects of assigned programs. AND
2) Preparing and maintaining Acquisition plans, milestone charts, and related schedules. AND
3) Reviewing contract specifications, pricing provisions, determinations and findings.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11 equivalent.
