This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing within the PLATE PRINTING BRANCH WCF. As an Intermediate Plate Printer, you will perform work utilizing a variety of complex and usually high-speed large format Intaglio Plate Printing presses and requiring a wide range of complex tasks associated with Intaglio printing, including printing U.S. government securities and currency from intaglio plates or cylinders.

The following are the duties of a Plate Printer. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

You must meet the screen-out element, which is The Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (screen-out), normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified.
