About the Position: This position serves as a Program Manager in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Installations, Housing & Partnerships), located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.

Duties

Serve as a Program Manager in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Installations, Housing and Partnerships). Coordinate climate considerations fully into Army’s facilities investment programs to ensure Army-wide impacts. Establish controls to ensure program implementation is consistent with Federal and DoD program guidance. Assist leadership in their respective roles as the Army’s policy developer for facilities investments. Provide program oversight, strategic planning, and policy recommendations. Establish goals and objectives for facilities investments while incorporating climate considerations. Assist leadership with defining program goals and communicate goals to functional elements. Represent leadership at meetings, briefings, and/or conferences.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting leadership in the development and coordination of energy sustainability and resilience goals, programs, strategies, and/or initiatives as it relates to facilities investments and military construction; establishing programs to incorporate sustainable practices into the development of various projects, such as: military construction, renovation and modernization; advising staff on policy development pertaining to facilities investment practices ensuring sustainability and resilience in the selection of building materials and technologies; and advising management on issues involving the relationship of energy/sustainability programs and their impacts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Facilities Requirements Analysis and PlanningOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
