You will serve as an Industrial Equipment Mechanic Supervisor I in the Tool Issue and Control Shop of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will serve as Industrial Equipment Mechanic Supervisor as well as Tools and Parts Attendant Supervisor. You will establish deadlines and priorities on the basis of requirements established by higher authority. You will coordinate the attainment of all required Shop technical licenses and certifications. You will explain work requirement, methods and procedures needed. You will direct shop personnel, resources and programs.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability To Lead Or Supervise Ability to supervise up to 14 subordinates within the trades of consisting of the following series/grade level, (Industrial Mechanical Equipment and Tools and Parts) WG-6904-06, WL-6904-06, WL-5352-10 and WG-5352-10. Ability to manage and provide technical direction for shop operations. Ability to plan production and implement functions such as planning, work direction, and administration/management.
