NIA, one of the 27 Institutes and Centers of NIH, leads the Federal government in conducting and supporting research on aging and the health and well-being of older people. The Institute seeks to understand the nature of aging and the aging process, and diseases and conditions associated with growing older, in order to extend the healthy, active years of life.
Duties
Develop and implement comprehensive plans and strategies for the internal and external integration of day-to-day and long-range projects, actions and activities for the assigned organization.
Analyze program performance data to identify issues and make recommendations for improvement.
Provides organizational support for planning, analyzing, coordinating, evaluating, and directing the development of priorities, performance metrics, resource allocations, work force management, and/or performance for organizational objectives to support operational requirements.
Analyze and evaluate diverse issues that may require input from other specialists and/or organizations.
Evaluate the impact of new program policies and procedures and determine measures of effectiveness and participates with decision-makers in setting organizational goals and objectives.
Plan and carry out a wide variety of tasks to participate in the planning and execution of major liaison activities in support of an organizational program.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
You qualify at the GS-12 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: evaluating programs in areas such as program support management, financial management, procurement, quality assurance, management analysis or administrative program management; formulating and executing action plans to respond to business and management problems or initiatives; providing organizational support for program planning and analysis activities; evaluating the impact of new program policies; and determining measures of effectiveness in setting organizational goals and objectives.
