About the Position: Serves as an USACE Logistics Activity Engineering Technician with overall responsibilities for addressing any issues associated with facilities at the District and any ancillary facilities assigned to the District.

Duties

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating planning, developing scopes of work (SOW) and/or Performance Work Statements (PWS) and assist Engineering with the same. Establish responsibilities and set expectations for contractors. Control and manage the project budgets and schedules. Serve as the Project Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned facilities projects. Responsible overall for contracts assigned from inception through final inspection and acceptance. Provide system control, oversight, data entry, repair history, analysis and documentation of the ongoing maintenance control program for equipment including electrical and mechanical operating equipment, machinery, miscellaneous tools.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes familiarity with various technical engineering methods, principles, and work techniques; developing cost estimates; knowledge of facility functions; forecasting schedules, budget, manpower, and quality issues; coordinating large service contracts; and providing oversight for ongoing machinery, operating equipment, and tools maintenance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Engineering and TechnologyFacilities Procurement and Contract ManagementProgram/Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).
