About the Position: Position serves as the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) action officer to assist current and future operations, plans and planners, across the Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) staff and subordinate units as the subject matter expert (SME). Position is in 1st TSC, at Fort Knox, KY.
Duties
Create and manages the command force requirement records in Force Requirements Enhanced Database (FRED) as contained within rotational and emergent request for forces (RFFs).
Coordinate all functional staffing packages/products requesting support or assistance from 1st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) to higher headquarters (HHQs) ensuring the requested force or capability is not duplicated.
Analyze Department of the Army (DA), Joint Chief of Staff (JCS), United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), United States Army Central (USARCENT), and other regulatory documents to ensure the RFFs are IAW HHQs guidance.
Serve as the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) action officer to assist current operations (CUOPS), future operations (FUOPS), plans (G-5), and planners across the TSC staff and subordinate units as the subject matter expert (SME).
Work independently as an expert and as part of a team enabling the Division to meet the high volume of taskers from both the supported and supporting command simultaneously utilizing the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Integrated Risk Matrix.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
- Position requires travel temporarily away from the normal duty station up to 15% of the time.
- Position may require temporary travel overseas into different Army Operating Theaters of Command (AOTC).
- Position is deployable. Must pass a pre-deployment physical upon deployment notification and receive required immunizations for the overseas/deployment location.
- Position is covered by the Army Substance Abuse Program, AR 600-85. Must sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass a urinalysis test as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Position requires completion of one (1) year probationary period unless the requirement has been previously met.

Experience Required:
To qualify based on your work experience, the resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in combat, combat support, combat services, and force management to ensure force tracking number (FTN) requirement, and Army modernization and structure changes.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
