This position is located with Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. The purpose of this position is to provide adequate and timely custodial services to cabins at DAM NECK ANNEX IN VIRGINIA BEACH, VA.

Duties

Upon check out, cleans, sanitizes and deodorizes bathrooms (sinks, tubs, showers, floors, toilets, etc.) ensuring that lavatories are properly restocked with all appropriate amenities. Sweeps, dry mops and cleans floors using brooms, mops, and commercial vacuum cleaner, cleans windows, sills, walls, woodwork and mirrors. Replaces all bed linens, trash liners, towels, amenities, changes light bulbs as needed and makes beds. Clean appliances, defrosts refrigerator, cleans, waxes/polishes furniture to ensure cabin/suite is ready for next occupant.

Requirements

Must pass all applicable records and background check.
Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate possess the following: Must have working knowledge of the machines, products and techniques used in custodial work including the ability to perform minor maintenance on heavy commercial-type power cleaning equipment. One year janitorial experience is strongly preferred.
