About the Position: Serve as a key member within the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Military Personnel and Quality of Life) (DASA (MPQ), and the office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) (ASA (M&RA).

Duties

Evaluate assigned Human Resource programs required to meet the Secretary of Army's strategic objectives. Interpret and apply laws and regulations relating to human resources policies and programs. Analyze and make recommendations on proposed legislation pertaining to assigned policy areas. Prepare and present briefings to provide status updates, identify potential problem areas, and to present findings. Utilize quantitative and/or qualitative skills to assess the effectiveness of program operations. Research and coordinate resolution of extremely complex time-essential actions for service members and their families.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data AnalysisManpower & PersonnelOral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
