You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Fleet Support Team (FST) DEPARTMENT, FST LOGISTICS DIVISION of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will to prepare long-range and short range planning guidance in compliance with broad agency policies and objectives.
You will effectively negotiate with high level officials to accept and implement study recommendations, in order to gain acceptance for proposals.
You will utilize DOD budget policies and regulations pertaining to programming and budget formulation.
You will lead a team to assess progress and/or investigate reported or suspected problems in attaining the program ILS objectives.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties:
Evaluating program objectives to identify and correct deficiencies in established ILS programs;
Developing and coordinating Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation, ensuring proper preparation, development, and application of policies and procedures;
Reviewing work methods and procedures to improve efficiency or effectiveness;
Assessing logistics element budget preparation, program cost estimates, and budget submissions to ensures that all support requirements are identified and adequately funded; and
Implements strategies to overcome obstacles of logistics support for the assigned weapon system/subsystem.
