About the Position: Position is located at US Army Cadet Command, 1st Brigade Headquarters, Fort Knox, KY.

Duties

Advise senior staff regarding technical military and/or civilian annual evaluations and awards. Process various personnel actions for military personnel using an automated Human Resource database. Prepare written correspondence (read ahead, briefing charts, etc.) for the Command Group. Coordinate travel arrangements and process travel documents using an automated travel system for the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position requires that the employee travels away from their normal duty station temporarily up to 15% of the time.
  • One Year probationary period may be required.
  • Pass and complete the U.S. Postal Services Operations Training
  • This position requires a fully qualified typist. Employee must be able to type accurately a minimum of 40 words per minute.

All others must qualify based on experience at the GS -06 level, Your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience at the GS-06 level is defined as: Maintenance of files, typing, tracking multiple actions, running reports regarding human resources functions and automated travel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-05). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ConscientiousnessCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Reasoning (Clerical/Technical)SpeakingWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

I have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement. FOREIGN EDUCATION:
