Duties
You will prepare requests for personnel actions and track and verify the action requested using the Defense Civilian Personnel data System (DCPDS) and associated software.
You will review requests for personnel actions ensuring requests are complete, accurate, approved by the designated authority and appropriate in accordance with civilian personnel regulations and command policies.
You will assist civilian personnel in obtaining answers to their questions regarding benefits, retirement, open season, pay and leave usage.
You will provide in-briefs to new employee check-ins and ensure personnel leaving the command have an opportunity to complete an exit interview.
You will prepare civilian manning reports and respond to data calls.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. For the GG-12 position:
*Experience using the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System Data System (DCPDS) to submit personnel actions.
*Experience using the Total Workforce Management Services (TWMS) system to maintain personnel information.
*Experience analyzing data and drafting briefs or reports based on analysis.
*Experience using the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) civilian personnel management rules and regulations.
This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level FULL PERFORMANCE, Series and Grade GG-0343-12.
For the GG-11 position:
*Experience utilizing organizational and communication skills;
*Experience applying analytical techniques and evaluation methods in order to compile information, gather facts, and research documents;
*Experience presenting information in a logical, diplomatic and easy to understand manner both orally and in writing; *Experience exercising good judgment and discretion in representing the Command; *Experience employing and utilizing Defense Civilian Personnel Data System Data System (DCPDS), Total Workforce Management System (TWMS), and Defense Performance Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP).

Education
Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position for the
GG-11 position:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
