About the Position: Position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Human Resources Division, Military Personnel Branch, S1, Fort Sam Houston, Texas with responsibility to provide a variety of administrative, clerical and office automation duties.
Duties
Serve as a customer service representative for Brooke Army Medical Center assisting service members throughout the Medical Center with finance related matters.
Perform a variety of administrative, clerical, and office automation duties in support of the military personnel branch operations.
Serve as the finance liaison between the Brooke Army Medical Center Troop Commander, seven separate company sized units and the Installation Finance and Accounting Office.
Utilize several military personnel database systems to update, maintain, and manipulate information.
Manage the government travel card training program to ensure dissemination of information about changes to the system are implemented.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing duties relating to advising Soldiers on all finance actions; control and monitor suspense files, correspondence files, record distribution, reporting requirements, etc. Maintaining files in accordance with the Modern Army Record Keeping System. Experience in developing and distributing training aids and information pertaining to military pay, military finance systems and the government travel card program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).OREducation: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
