About the Position: This is a PERMANENT Management Analyst position with U.S. Army Central located at Shaw Air Force Base, SC. ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND OPM PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK".

Duties

Serves as a senior analyst responsible for a variety of complex force management functions/programs, in matters pertaining to structure and composition requirements for USARCENT. Provides quantitative and qualitative technical expertise, such as determining doctrinal military and civilian composition and equipment employment requirements to assist and instruct the ARCENT staff in securing optimal force development levels. Serves as the lead action officer for USARCENT Command Plan and Change Management Plan development. Acts as stationing technical authority for actions related to restationing or base closure and realignment activities for USARCENT. Develops policies and provides guidance to the USARCENT staff.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
