In this position,you willserve as a program office systems engineer in the Global Network Systems (GNS) Branch of the C2ISR Division (AFLCMC/HBG). GNS Branch is a 116-member team which guides program acquisitions for a $230M per year program portfolio. This position provides technical expertise for Network Infrastructure for the Air Force Defense Common Ground System (AF DCGS). Incumbent will be responsible to plan and execute integration, engineering, and fielding for AF DCGS acquisition programs. Member will oversee the full life cycle of systems engineering activities to include Operational Safety, Suitability and Effectiveness (OSS&E) assurance, establishing technical requirements & baselines, systems integration & test, analyzing configuration alternatives, validating system performance, technology insertion, supporting sustainment activities, and establishing cyber security certifications for fielding of new/modified capabilities for the GNS Branch. Candidate must be familiar with high performance computing, high bandwidth communications, various cloud services, routers, and switches employed in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) environments. Experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cyber security related to weapon systems environments is desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.
Knowledge of systems engineering practices and procedures as they pertain to sustainment, modification, logistics, and production management principles, concepts, policies, and systems; of standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and of other engineering disciplines.
Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
